When we first heard the news that the entire Sno-Isle staff would be participating in the 20 for 2.0, I can remember thinking it would be kind of cool to learn about some it, but mostly thought it would be something that would never be a part of my every day life. Some of the assignments were just that. I'm not really into myspace, didn't like the tools, and tagging just confused me. I did find some definite keepers though.
I love blogging. I look forward to seeing what people have posted and reading the comments. I have learned a lot... and got a peek at a different side of my co-workers, and beyond that, their spouses and their friends. Some of them are so incredible witty and well rounded. They make me want to grow and expand my world. I read everyone's blog and catch up on the comments. I hope to continue mine, but I am not too sure where exactly what direction I would take it. I do see the possibility of posting too much information. I think it is easy for people to forget how small the world sometimes is... this person knows that person, that person knows them, they know you... and before you know it, your uncle in Texas is telling your grandma something you'd never tell her.
Some of my other favorites have been meebo (though i still prefer skype), finetune (I use it every day) and the avatar (meez is the best one). I would definitely participate again... would i have a choice? :)
I have an inkling of a thought that some employees got a little more involved than intended and I am sure there are some higher ups that will be glad it is all ended. I hope though that they can see the positive that came out of the training. The best part of this isn't learning the 20 things. The best part was the team spirit and camaraderie. This experience has done more towards that then any other training I have taken. Everyone doing the same thing at once, getting to do it in the style and manner that suits them. Not the usual, "okay look to the person to your left and tell them why you are here today".
I don't think it was the goal, but it's a good thing.
GrooveLily is a theatrical power-pop trio consisting of Valerie Vigoda, Brendan Milburn, and Gene Lewin. I have known of the band since they formed in 1994. All the members are very talented, artistic and have brilliant minds. I do not know them personally, but often get updates on the highlights through my grandma, and she shares the CD's and videos they have released. The picture of the band is copied from the official website, and not taken by me (the other groovelily)

Bravissimo, GL!
In all seriousness, I want to thank groovelily, Captain ILL, bowlingwidow, thisandthat, cardboard queen, jazzergigi, david, and anyone else at Sno-Isle I'm missing. I hope you all find time to keep up your blogs now that it's no longer a work thing. They're a lot of fun to check out.
I doubt I would have ever started a blog of my own if I didn't learn about what was going on at work from bowlingwidow. I guess she accidentally created a blog monster. I hope to continue doing this every week or so, hopefully with some entertaining and interesting things, but time will tell. I know that I won't be keeping pace with Captain ILL on a daily basis though, as I'm convinced that my new favorite superhero is on to something that has some serious staying power. So don't stop. The world needs you to continue planting the boot of justice in the buttocks of evil in the name of functional literacy.
I hope to have more entertaining Fridays with you all. When I get a headcount from groovelily we'll make this bowling thing happen and all listen to the beautiful sounds of ten pins being punished and sent into a pit by a 15 pound orb while we clink glasses of liquid refreshments.

I know you can come up with exciting new ideas for your blog because you already have: for your blog and for mine too. It's been very entertaining to see the creative Groovelily shine through and I wouldn't worry too much about your uncle in Texas; one look at the kickboxing Groovelily should intimidate him into keeping his mouth shut.
